Power windows was the first Rush cassette I ever owned as a ten year old I played this album to death the big money's opening riff hooked me in and is still one of my top 20 favorite rush songs of all time this album was my gateway into the amazing band that is Rush

I used to play my drums along to this record. This song was my favorite! Of course I couldn't perform it perfectly like Neil, but I was close! Very close! I was also taking classical piano training at conservatory: serious stuff. That enabled me to do anything I wanted musically and understand how to use that training for any instrument. Thank you, Frank!

Listened to the Live version on the Clockwork Angels tour and with my DT770 Pro Studio headphones, the synth used at the beginning sounds very much like a simple pad synth that sounds very similar imo to the one used in EVH's Jump. The Synth right afterwards on the next section of the song, it sounds like a simple electric organ or electric piano synth. The guitar sounds mono on the live version but the synths still have stereo width due to the digital signal. Also, the guitars and synths flow together in this version but since it was a live recording you can hear the sounds of the instruments better. IMO this version is a lot more clean, but I prefer the Live version. Getty Lee's bass parts are spot and the that friggin solo is just insane. RIP Neil peart.

When Neil died in early 2020 of course that was the end of RUSH, and I was very sad. I've seen them five times, their shows were amongst the BEST. The next week Incest Iscariot got off his first impeachment (and he'd commit that treasonous J6 act a year later). That started off a horrible week, horrible year and decade with this pandemic soon coming up. It's been hard to listen to RUSH since it's truly over but I've been picking up on it again. RUSH truly has enriched my life, I grew up with them. This is one of my faves from them, I just DIG that outro where that synth pause is being played and then Alex kicks in with that killer guitar riff! Yeeeaaahhh!!!! Man, I miss this band SO bad already.
