Getting ready for a climb Sam, Steven and I flew a small plane over Chimney Rock. We attempted the climb a few days later but got sent home by a storm. We will be climbing Chimney Rock once the snow melts so subscribe for more!

Chimney Rock is located in the Selkirk range of north Idaho's panhandle, and visible from Priest Lake, is a dramatic tower of high-quality granite. Carved out by converging glaciers, it was left to stand alone as a solitary "lightning rod".

I love north Idaho. But just like all mountain ranges, the weather can turn incredibly fast. You have to be prepared for snow till at least July if you are over 10k feet elevation and till May if you are over 8k. Can't wait for the next installment! Makes me wish I had gopros for all my mountaineering stunts in the early 2000s.... but they didn't exist yet.
