In this video I talk about how I quit drinking and smoking for 90 days, and the relevant health benefits and weight loss that I experienced as a result of doing this.

I took a three month break from drinking alcohol and smoking and I experienced several different health benefits as a result. I outline these health benefits in the video. I also lost about 20 pounds. I feel great and highly recommend everyone take a break from drinking and smoking to improve your health.

This is a great video for those interested in quitting alcohol and/or cigarettes and what happens to your body when you do those things.

Full dislcaimer: I am not a doctor and nothing in this video is meant to replace the guidance of medical health professionals.

Everything he said is the truth.. I’m 33 and I will go to work and drink all evening to the night. It ruined a lot of relationships and I made poor decisions. I saw my doctor due to what he said “feeling unhealthy” felt like I was killing myself .. I got fat, bad anxiety, red face, bad acid reflux, diarrhea, joint swelling, sweaty, tingling in feet ect. Doctor did blood work and my liver enzymes was high and he wanted me to get a ultrasound.. I was scared straight bc my dad died from liquor 🥃.. anyways I stop cold Turkey and started to vape like him .. what I did notice was this time no withdrawals bc I wanted it or craves .. at my 90 day mark today .. I did lose same as him 20 lbs which made me feel great and my body loves it, my skin is way better, face not puffy, no more tinging at feet, no acid reflux, I eat more healthy and light with no crazy cravings, better sleep, less panic attacks ( I guess bc I’m not thinking I’m dying bc of my liver lol) my patience is higher, better modes, better decision making, better bowel movements. I mean night and day .. I tried stopping a lot and I read people stories about how they feel after stoping and won’t go back but I’m finally that person ! I’m excited and have no desire to go back to that lifestyle. Only challenges for me was my mental health.. trying to live life again without alcohol, how to have fun without it. Which will make you more homebody bc it seems like everything consist of it these days. Also just finding yourself and your purpose after quitting. I think my purpose will just be the gym and that’s another reason why I think people have incredible body results when stopping these habits bc they need something to do and you do get that dopamine from noticing your body getting better. Also I’ve been on lexapro for anxiety.. that’s bc the alcohol canceled my anxiety when I was drinking and now I’m kinda just living through it so I did have to see a therapist and get on meds to work on that which is getting better but definitely was a big challenge these 90s day. Overall I feel amazing and I’ll never go back to that liquid poison ., that stuff with ruin your life physically and mentally… btw I’m 6’1 and was 270 and now I’m 250 lbs .. my regular weight is 230 so I’m coming back to myself lol I’m excited but definitely quit ! It’s worth it !

Day 5 for me. I'm 56. I've been drinking and smoking for 40 ish years. I feel... kinda dizzy. BP is running on the low side. But in about another week, I should have turned a corner. I decided to quit because I've wanted to for a long time. Everything you described I've felt.
I want to thank you for posting this.

I am so glad that you made this video! I have noticed the change in your life and could not be happier for you. I know the changes were not easy. Your commitment to your health and overall well being is inspiring. I don't want to get all Mom-like and mushy in this post, but I am so proud of you and the wonderful man you are.

Dude you're the boss!!! Keep walking this road of success and health. We need people like you to help us get to where you are. And yes, you had peripheral nervous system damage, which has gone now. Be VERY careful of drinking socially...once you open the door to alcohol it will barge its way in full time again. Xxx

Well done Tyler. You can do anything you put your mind to. Taking care of yourself now will pay huge dividends as you age as well. Think you have a healthy perspective, quit the smoking, moderate the drinking to enhance your life not take away from it. When you are on the right path priorities just seem to fall in place. Visual the goal and the future, when you can clearly lock that in the sacrifices you need to make in the moment just make sense and are easier to stand by. Bon courage mon fils! :)

This is awesome! A great reminder that we can do hard things when we decide to. You took your power back—no longer owned by two things that can kill you. Inspiring. Can you do another video in three months from now to show us how things continued—positives, negatives, etc.?

This is the most encouraging video I have seen because you and I have had similar issues. I also notice that after I've binged 2 or 3 nights, I also wake up with one or both arms asleep. When I don't drink? NOTHING. I think that all the sugar in the alcohol causes inflammation, and that's what causes the nerves to get pinched off. Fortunately, mine eases up once I get up and moving around. I am on day 3, and I would give anything to be where you're at RIGHT NOW! Can't wait to feel good!

Great video. I fully relate. I’m 31 - I go out and drink 2-3x a week- get really wasted. I’m done. I’m just wrapping up day 2 sober bro but thanks for this video- finally a good video I can relate to.

I've tried to quit smoking before with several good serious attempts. I don't drink much but I found that was the thing that would lead me back to smoking every time. Whenever I did stop smoking my life would change for the better in so many ways, yet I'd through it away every time somehow after weeks or months. This time I've decided to commit to not drinking alcohol as well as not smoking cigarettes. For me I've realised that to escape smoking I need to stop drinking too and 100% commit to being sober. When you're addicted to any substance, if you're still doing other ones it all eventually leads own the same path IMO. I'm excited for my current attempt as I've not tried it like this before and have learned a lot from past mistakes.

Nice, short video. You can tell instantly that you look way more healthy now compared to those past pics where you're pale/ red/ blotchy (I can relate). Good luck with whatever you're doing now.

You mentioned being in Vietnam, I just moved a few weeks ago to Cambodia from Florida and my vape ran out after a several days so I stupidly started buying cigarettes because I'm also a drinker and both beers and cigarettes are incredibly cheap here compared to the States. Wow, that's a long sentence but anyway I'm usually thin and now notice a beer belly forming and a decrease in overall energy. Thanks for telling us about your experience and I have the same overall attitude that smoking really offers zero benefits and while drinking too much is bad and a break is needed and helpful, for social reasons I don't see myself never partaking again in the future.

Very good. I smoked for over 30 years and cold turkeyed it. Just keep in mind you will also have more negative people attacking because the light around you is a lot brighter.

Good job on the diarrhea, brother. Not TMI at all :D.

I was a light drinker myself but started feeling anxiety more recently so have cut it off completely and am at 25 days sober right now. Any new updates?
