Well, Dr. Strange wasn't lying about only seeing one way to win in 14, 000, 605 possibilities. Maybe in 30 million there would've been two ways to win. There's infinte possibilities/choices so there should technically also be infinite ways to win. Also the other ways you referenced where Thanos lost happened in different universes. Dr. Strange was only looking at possiblities of winning in theirs with the time stone.

No, they explained it in the Eternals. Any option that killed Thanos in Infinity War would allow the Celestial to be born and then everyone dies as the planet explodes. We had to lose, so that we could do the second snap and prove we were worth saving over a Celestial.

Let’s be real, if you looked through 14+ million possibilities and only found ONE where you won, would you really want to look through another 14 million or more to find a better one?

I got the feeling Strange was referring to there being only one possibility because there was only one possibility where Winning didn’t carry Heavy losses and or irreparable damages to the universe as an end result still.

I.e he probably saw them win in a good chunk of those 14 million but only the one he choose had an aftermath worth Winning for. 😉

The 14 million possibilities were only meant for the 616 universe's Infinity War, as they had a different scenario compared to 838. Alternate possibilities of a universe are completely different from alternate universes.

Or, a simpler explanation could be that out of all the ones he saw, there truly was only one that they won. Thats because he's not looking at an infinite number of possibilities, he's looking at a small sample size (small compared to infinity) and in that small sample size, there was only one successful attempt. I get trying to connect stuff from past movies to movies that come after them, but come on, you don't have to be a genius to think of a simple explanation that's not directly tied to something else for no reason other than because it would be cool
