Dangerous USB chargers 20

Yet another pair of "quick" USB phone chargers. They can't supply the current and power they claim, they can't switch their output voltage to 9V or 12V. They're 5V only, so they're not actually Quick Charge QC 3.0 chargers. One has a fake digital LED voltmeter that keeps showing 5.2V all the time. They don't comply with safety regulations - they can cause an electric shock, fire or electromagnetic interference (EMI). A load test, what's inside, thermal imaging and switching transformer autopsy.

you know a product is going to be "good" when even the printed text have typos like:
0:41 AD/DC
1:01 not helping that it only accepts DC 110-240V instead of AC.
I thought about it someday and maybe those common mistakes were generated because they OCR'd it from another product. Low quality OCR tends to replace near characters like "cl" as "d" and more.

3:57 For anyone who missed it, this thing can't even do 500 mA on all four ports. Pretty much anything you charge from a brick uses that much, so I don't think there's really any situation where you can use all four ports here.

Some 10 years ago I had the misfortune to use an actually deadly USB charger. It was supplied by my employer, and defective from the box. Connected it to a phone, which emitted a snap noise and died. I disconnected the charger and accidentally touched the micro-USB ground, which had the live wall voltage on it. Luckily I wasn't grounded, but 240V charging and discharging your capacitance gives a good fright.
