as a firefighter I STRONGLY SUGGEST getting a USB outlet from an extremely reputable source because I have responded countless times to these wall outlets catching on fire

30W total with a caveat: The output of the USB-C port will be reduced to 18W when the USB-A ports are in use. The USB-C port and 2 USB-A ports share a total 30W max output.

It's not gonna replace the 65w bricks you demonstrated

“electricity is super dangerous”
that sure is an accurate blanket statement that applies in all situations

As an electrician, all I can say is: thank God our wires are brown, blue and yellow-green.

Holy moly!!
He just replaced his 2nd wall outlet with 2 USB-A and a USB-C port of unknown power, instead of plugging in a 5 port 200 Watt power supply which he can later easily replace for a 500 watt box when our phones need 5 times the power. And he can carry that brick in the holidays, which is quite hard to do with that wall outlet replacement.

Oh, it's the same company that purposefully lied about all their cameras using safe end-to-end encryption. How fun.

Your neutral wire is hooked the wrong way under the screw terminal, always wrap the end of the wire clockwise around the screw so the bend self tightens around the screw

Leviton T5636, you still get both outlets and two fast charging usb c with 60w power delivery. But it’s $85. Got one in my kitchen. Guests love being able to fast charge.

USB outlets are convenient, but make sure they are safe to use. Always check the quality before installing one.

1. A power strip is usually a better solution to bricks clogging up your outlets. It's unlikely that electronic battery devices will pull more than 5 amps AC (roughly 600 watts).
2. The USB-C ports on most products that include AC outlets tend to be pretty anemic, they'll charge your phone faster than USB-A, but not a modern laptop or gaming console. The one used here tops out at 30 watts, whereas a recent USB-PD charger can put out upwards of 200 watts. The reason is likely to prevent fires.
3. You're going to need long (read: expensive) USB-PD cables to reach a typical outlet from a desk or a table.
