Dangerous USB phone chargers 5 (Quick 18W QC 3.0)

Another collection of dodgy USB phone chargers from eBay. This time a quick charger edition. Three cheap USB chargers that support 18W QC3.0 charging and they can supply 5V 3A, 9V 2A or 12V 1.5A. Some of those cheap chargers may not comply with safety regulations and they may cause an electric shock or fire. They also tend to have a non-existent interference suppression, poor output voltage regulation and a fake current rating.

5Fe is conventional 5grams iron, zinc plated weight for car aluminium rim ballancing. Its crazy put it inside, because after time sticky tape fall and it can short circuit inside.

I have several of the second charger shown in this video - no issues with any of them after 4+ years of regular use - they deliver more than their rated power and have pretty good safety! Love this series Danyk and thanks for covering my charger!

the problem with eBay things is... even when you know what's inside and confirm it's good enough, it doesn't guarantee you'd get the same thing when you buy second time. The next product could be the cost cutting version with doji transformer etc 🤡

7:07 You could put trigger board on the load itself, that's why there is vertical socket near input. It will trigger modes without loses on connectors.

Diode, maybe i 'm wrong, but for the last charger notice one more thing:
There are two outputs, and these outputs (but maybe i 'm wrong?) are connected parallel together, so if you for example connect the QC capable phone to the USB1, and negociated voltage is 9-12V you can connect some non-QC device to the USB2 and just fry this device, because there is no separate outputs with separate chip and voltage Just great design :D

These videos are awesome. I gotta ask though, respectfully, is this his normal voice and cadence. Obviously English is his second language but that tonal variance and cadence sound almost comical. I just have to know because these are unique characteristics that I’ve never heard through all my travels around Europe.

I'd love to see an analysis of one of the new GaN USB-PD chargers, I still can't believe how small Anker's 30W usb-pd (up to 20V/1.5A) is, for example.

The conductive wheel weight held on only by sticky tape is a nice touch. And to those saying it "fits nicely" onto the transformer...what are you seeing that I am not? I see at least 2mm between the weight and the transformer before it was taken out of the case.

It's one thing to use weights to fake a premium feel, it's quite another to do so in such a careless manner.
