This is exactly what it feels like to lose friends who view you as "too autistic". They love you till they don't, and suddenly you're left feeling guilty when all you did was exist. This made me sob, a very real and soul crushing reality of the autistic experience (at least in my case).

Yeah, I know it's her choice and she's not obligated to do anything. BUT she didn't care about his autism when she was kissing him, flirting with him etc. I mean, she could have treat him like a friend since the beginning, because now she's saying one thing and then does another thing. The fact that she was all over Shaun when he was with Carly it's the thing that has me bothered the most. Now that he has realized he loves her, she's acting up like this... Tbh she should leave town and get her stuff together, she doesn't even know what she really wants.

I’m a single dad of a beautiful little boy with autism. My interest in medical dramas and the fact that Shaun is autistic and a doctor drew me right to this show. Everyone has a right to see and date who they want and not date who they don’t want. I’d rather someone fall for Shaun because of who he is not because of something he’s not.

Having said that to all the people saying they respect that Lea’s being honest with him-I will give you that. But do not forget the beginning when she led him and his feelings on and also kissed him. She knew he had autism when she did that and she left and came back. She’s also been vocal with Glassman about her intentions and while they are out they are the life of the party.

All I can say is there’s right and wrong ways to tell someone your not interested. I just hope my son never comes crying to me and tells me a woman wouldn’t give him as handsome and as sweet as he is a chance “because he’s autistic and you can’t fix autism”. Initially Lea was nice about it in this episode she was a bitch about it. We get it your a scum bag in a relationship and you don’t want to hurt Shaun good for you no need to persecute him for his disability.

I have no idea where the writers are going with this storyline and character. Lea, from the beginning, has shown love and acceptance for Shaun but she did a complete 180 in the last two episodes. It's weird characterization, and I hope the writers don't mess up one of Shaun's best friendships for drama.

See, I almost don't get this because Leah always seemed like the only person who treated Shawn like everyone else. And what makes it worse is how he said he didn't think he could keep being friends with her either if she didn't love him. Why couldn't ABC have just left their relationship alone?

I hate characters like Leah. He was happy with Carly. He was thriving and learning with Carly. She was the one who came in and disrupted what he was building because Carly was a threat to her free ride.
