I think that Shaun made a lot of progress here. He should be able to be himself and not have to "work" on social cues 24/7, especially when he's in his own home. And he set boundaries with Dr. Allen, but also called her part of his tribe. His rules were fair and being upfront about them is better than being passive aggressive like "normal" people often are, which leads to stored up resentment and blow ups.

Fun fact: the creator of this show also made The Big Bang Theory. In the latter seasons after Sheldon and Amy get married they talk about Sheldon creating a “sex calendar” to help Sheldon remember when it’s time to have sexy time with Amy. And now we have a sex schedule here as well 😂
