I said 'sou sou sou' to my Japanese sensei. She corrected me and explained why, saying it was rude to say it to a teacher. I instinctively replied 'sou sou sou'. 😂

"Sou desu ne."

—A man with a broken idol dream

One more: "Seikai"
which literally translates to "right answer". You use it when you ask a question, and that person answers it correctly. 😂

EN: you're right
JP: anata ga tadashi
Sayaka: no you're not!
Man that part was so hilarious 😂

Just watched the new JJK S2 PV and I still remember Gojo's "Is that right? Maybe you're right. You're so right!" 😭

Definitely gonna put these in a playlist and rewatch them over and over so I know a little bit of Japanese.

I started watching and said to myself
"Souda"
So when she said it I was like YES, I WAS RIGHT
Vague memories from an old One Piece opening

"Sou! Sou! Sou! Sou!"'s english counterpart would be "Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!" I do that a lot hehe

Thank you for yet another short. I am really looking forward to learning more natural phrases from you. Don't wanna sound robotic when I go to Japan and who knows, opportunity to speak to someone

It would be nice if you could have something like this be a few mins vs a few seconds. Hope you are having a nice week. :)

It's amusing that I knew all of that but when put it so precisely I learned something new. Happens everytime.

“Mite kurete arigatou”

Always like when she said it xD

それな is also used, but it's more like an agreement kinda thing. Lots of Junior high students use it! Also university students, but usually I see it a lot on the internet. It was originally internet slang, but it got integrated into regular speech
