If you don’t get it they mean when someone says like “ that not true” in Japanese don’t take it literally sometimes. I should know I’ve made this mistake with my mom.

"you're kidding me" shouldn't be taken literally in English too though

For anyone still not sure "Uso" means lie so don't get offended if someone says Usoda. They're not saying you're lying. And stay off Google translate!

I don't understand why someone would be confused by that xD it is LITERALLY the Japanese equivalent of "no way!" Or "You're kidding me!" XD

To the confused comments I think they mean the "i don't believe it" kind of comments

嘘だぁ。(嘘ついてると疑っているのではなく、「驚いた。」)
本当だよ。(嘘だと疑われているわけではない。)
信じられない。(信じていないのではなく、驚いている。)

って事なのかな。

I think the expression she makes tells you her intention, I'm sure everyone from every language background would understand that.

For a moment I thought it was the phrase "I got a boyfriend"; cuz in my mother language "that's not true" is used the same way as in japanese, so I had to read the comments to understand lol
