To the people who are little confused because they want to reinstall the Windows into the same C drive but want to save the data, either create another partition or create this recovery drive partition larger enough to store all your back up data. Now some people may get into another error which I was also facing, that the partition process will show error 'not enough storage'. So instead of making one large unallocated partition of let's say 500 GB, create 5 partitions of 100 GB each. I faced the same problem, and the given solution worked well.

Just did my 10 year old laptop and it works! I had 2 hiccups during the process:
1. I found out I had to right click the Windows.ISO file on the desktop and open it with File Explorer or else the laptop will open it with default cyberlink pre installed program where I can't copy the ISO files.
2. During the process, I got a pop up window asking if I'm trying to update or fresh install Windows, ( hit cancel to do a fresh install).
When it's all done, you will have to download a disk partition software to clean up your hard drive.
