Let’s talk about menopause and the best food for menopause symptoms.

The adrenal glands make all of the same hormones that the ovaries make. During menopause, the function of the ovaries decreases, but the adrenals can act as a backup and start making these hormones.

It’s not actually normal for women to experience symptoms or signs of menopause. The hormones that are created by the adrenals stem from a certain raw material: cholesterol. The problem is that people are told to avoid cholesterol at all costs.

Cholesterol is required to make sex hormones, adrenal hormones, fat-soluble vitamins, and bile salts—and it’s also essential to support the brain.

Cholesterol only comes from animal products, and 80% of the cholesterol that feeds the adrenals is LDL cholesterol. Cutting cholesterol out of the diet can potentially lead to a cascade of health issues, including menopause symptoms.

Olive oil is great, but it doesn’t provide cholesterol. The #1 food for menopause symptoms is butter. Cooking with high-quality grass-fed butter, or even putting it in your coffee, may help relieve symptoms of menopause.

It’s important to remember that as you increase your dietary fat, you need to reduce your carbohydrate intake. If you keep your carbs low, you can consume higher amounts of fat. Taking vitamin D and bile salts may also be beneficial to help your body digest the fat.

My mom was told to go on statins since she was 50. High cholesterol was going to kill her they said. She thankfully refused. She’s 93 now and people mistake her for being in her 70s and she’s outlived all those doctors who told her to go on the statins.

I have had hot flushes, night sweats and bad digestion since going through menopause. A dietitian told me my cholesterol was a bit too high and recommended lean meat, no more than 7 eggs a week and margarine! Soon as she mentioned margarine I decided I wasn't listening to anything else that she had to say, who in their right minds thinks margarine is better than butter?

Thank you for this video. I'm 52 and pre-menopausal. I became a carnivore 3 years ago after having a severe case of adrenal fatigue, they were almost completely burnt out, and since I started watching your videos this year I put butter in my coffee every day and add cream on the weekends. I also eat 2-4 eggs every day. So far, no symptons. This is a very well timed video. Thank you for all that you're doing.

Exactly! I thought the same thing. There's no way that God made a woman's body to go through all of that crap! I knew you were not supposed to have these symptoms. Thank you so much for this video! Bless you ❤

Honestly it’s not hard to think that the medical community is working against us. I am off all prescriptions for a few years now and have never felt or looked better.

So far during my life the British government have reccommended Not consuming salt, butter and animal fats, raw milk, eggs, bacon and water from fresh running springs. They do however promote seed oils, tap water, pasturised products, cereals, take away meals, breads etc and allow our meat and fish to be treated with chemicals to prolong the shelf life whilst advocating the fresh fruits and veg to be chemical washed and hermetically sealed in plastic. Hmmmm, I almost forgot to mention the poison dart too.

Black Cohosh for Hot Flashes is the best for hot flashes. Titrate to your needs. I use to have to take 2-3 daily, but now towards the end of my menopause…hopefully, I take 1, as needed.
Pray for all women to find what they need coping with this! 🙏❤️

I'm nearly 50. I eat grass fed butter daily, natural full fat yogurt, grass fed beef, fish, eggs, cheese, cream all the time. I have very, very few menopausal symptoms. My cycle is still regular. I believe my diet really helps.

This is great info!! I’m 52 years old, I’m in menopause, I’ve been doing Keto for almost a year, I’m down 43 lbs, I don’t have any menopause symptoms at all. I feel great! I was wandering why I wasn’t experiencing symptoms like other women my age. This is more encouragement for me to stay on Keto!

I started having issues in my late 30's. I'm now 53, and I swear by Kerrygold butter, raw milk with full fat, and lots of sunshine. I finally moved from the Appalachians to middle Georgia because I couldn't get enough D3/K2 in me due to the lack of sunshine. I was taking mega doses. Now I just get it naturally and feel much better than I did in my 30's, but I travel with my milk and butter. Can't live without it.

I’m 49 years old and had a few months of perimenopause symptoms but then found myself actually craving butter, eggs and red meat. Its helped tremendously. I also supplement with vitamin D, omega 3, ginkgo biloba, turmeric, evening primrose oil, pro biotics and magnesium.

Thanks Doc.... I saw my PCP mons ago complaining about all these symptoms and she was ready to give me drugs of course, I refused. There's was no mention of dietary changes I could make, herbal or homeopathic remedies, etc, just "this is normal and take these drugs" I knew there had to be another answer. BUTTER! Something I already love. Yay!!

This is interesting. I am 51 and started seeing the signs of my cycle not being regular about a year ago. I had about a week of waking up hot about 6 months ago, so I started going to sleep earlier and paying attention to what I was hungry for.
I mainly wanted apples, grapes, dates and Brie cheese, avocados and started craving butter, so I just made sure I had them readily available. I’m not craving them anymore, but maybe I’ll make them more regular as it could be why I only had the hot nights for such a short period of time. My mom said she dealt with them, and severe mood swings for 10 years straight.
I work long hours at a barn caring for 30 horses, training young horses and teaching children how to ride, so I’m very in shape and haven’t ever had too much trouble with weight gain as I am pretty small. I also can’t really allow myself to have mood swings because young horses and young people need someone steady to work with, so I just don’t even allow myself to be unsteady mentally. I mainly read scripture when my mood starts to sink in a direction I don’t want it to. I think lack of sleep makes things worse as usual too.
