Mulan 2 Movie Review

Fingers crossed more people will like this Underrated Disney Sequel after seeing the remake LOL. Enjoy Guys as I review the enjoyable and more romantic sequel to Disney’s girl power classic!

Characters are either stupid, annoying, or EXTREMELY unlikable. Story is horribly written and baffling. Songs are annoying or rehashes. Animation is rubbery and has some really disturbing and ugly shots. This movie infuriates me. Might actually give it a 1/10.

The only thing I hate in Mulan 2 is Mushu. Don't get me wrong I like Mushu I just think he was way out of character in the sequel.

Just found this video lol, I subbed to you just recently. I love this film, it reminds me of crimes of grindelwald, I hear people absolutely hating them both, making it sound like the worst thing ever, but then you watch it and while not perfect, its not bad lol. Definitely not the PURE AGONY people exaggerate it to. The animation is gorgeous, the music in my opinion, because music is very subjective, is fantastic, the story in my opinion feels unique, but also like a natural direction from the first film. The guys finally found a girl worth fighting for lol. And the message of my duty is to my heart is one of disneys best. I also love that shang and mulan are not a perfect couple, it feels very realistic. And the ending is fantastic, mushu cant take it anymore and tells mulan that he messed up, completing his arc of not being so darn selfish lol, and then we see mulan rush to shang, because he still doesn't know, and we have the scene of him sacrificing himself. We then see mushus terrible guilt take over, realizing what he's done, and then we go to the arrangedmarriage. We see shang alive and waking up, he then has a choice to make, let this arranged marriage happen like he wanted, but then of course he realizes that its mulan, and shang has a choice to make, let it happen like he said it should have, of course now its mulan, and so its personal, but mulan and shang just aren't met to be together right? Yes mushu made them fight, but they still fought. So now shang has a decision to make, stop this marriage, go against his beliefs, and go back to the woman he now realizes has a not so perfect relationship with, or return home, job complete, just not in the way he thought. And of course we see him return, confess his love, and then we see mushu help out and fix his wrongdoing, and it's only after all this that shang learns it was all a lie. Sorry this was pretty long, but your review is the only positive one on YouTube lol, and I wanted to back you up lol. I could go up, but I just feel that the internet has really influenced people's opinion on this film. And thank you harry for making your own opinion, while also respecting the people that didnt like this film. At the end of the day, just make your own opinion. And I agree the opening about balance is great. And the opening music is one of my favorite pieces of music ever. I just really loved this film, i really connected with it. And shangs rage face was amazing, people act like it's bad, but its insanely expressive.

Does nothing offensive to the original? Mushu acts like a selfish, despicable asshole and tries to break up Mulan and Shang and ruin their happiness all so he can keep his pedestal. Mulan and Shang act like sitcom parents who bicker constantly and the three princesses carelessly put all of China in danger by not going through with the arranged marriages. Characters get derailed an act stupid and selfish and a whole lot of nothing happens. But I realise nothing I say will change your mind so if you still like it I can respect that.

I know this is tough to see Mulan and Mulan 2 movie, but I do like original Mulan better. I bet this is a great movie and I may see Mulan live action movie on my bday. I let you know how it is. Great review Harry💐😍💛🈴💕

Disneytoon REALLY dropped the ball with this one. I give it a 2/10 (which I rarely ever give). Probably the worst movie with Disney’s name on it that I have ever seen

What's your favorite and least favorite Disney straight-to-DVD sequel? For me, my favorite straight to dvd sequel would be The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride (though Frozen 2 is still the best Disney sequel in general LOL) and the worst would be Belle's Magical World!!!

I will admit the only good thing about this movie is the beginning where Mulan trains the young girls and the song "Lessson Number One" is a decent song even though it's no "I'll Make a Man Out Of You". After that this movie goes downhill

Great review, Harry. I'm sorry but I have to disagree with you on this. Mulan 2 is a disgrace to the original that butchered up everything that made the first film a timeless masterpiece. This movie took away all the charm and made it very mean spirited. I'd rather have no Mushu in a Mulan movie than have a Mushu being BUTCHERED UP. This is right up there with The Hunchback of Notre Dame 2 and Belle's Magical World as some of the worst Disney sequels ever made. This movie deserved the 0% on rotten tomatoes. It truly did. I give Belle's Magical World 0 stars out of 5.

Good review. I personally hated Mulan II. Well while I had it on DVD for a really long time, I used to like that sequel as a kid but looking back at this direct-to-video sequel, it was worse than I remembered. Not only the story juggles all over the place and makes everything goes downhill after the mission has started, but the characters are EXTREMELY butchered (inluding Mushu who is very unlikable in this sequel). Animation is decent at its best but the ending didn't save the sequel that much. Lesson Number One is at least the ONLY song that I enjoyed, but the rest of the songs are forgettable. I think this is one of the worst Disney direct-to-video sequels that I have ever seen

I agree. Mulan 2 is not as bad as everybody sees it is. For sure it's not as good as the first movie but for what it gave us made me entertained. dethenently better than Fox and the hound 2.
