For whitening your nails (nail tech.): if anyone does use this method, make sure to use a nail brush when you wash your hands with warm water and soap first. This will clean your nails better and remove unwanted bacteria (don't forget to scrub under your nails as well). Let your hands dry completely, then use a cotton ball to apply the peroxide. But ALWAYS apply a good cuticle oil after. Peroxide will dehydrate and take away all the natural oils in your nails that help maintain their strength and durability. In fact, use cuticle oil daily and quite often. Cuticle oil will help with hang nails and dryness around the nail plate. Combine that will a good skin moisturizer daily and you will have good looking nails and hands. Though I wouldn't use the peroxide more than twice a week. Again peroxide is a DEHYDRATOR and WILL strip away important natural nail oil.

I used to use it to test for ear infections. if I had an ear ache, I'd put peroxide in the sore ear. If it bubbled a little bit but mostly stayed liquid, it was fine. if I poured it in the sore ear and it became pure foam, it was usually a severe infection that needed to be seen by a doctor ASAP. Never failed me. I had constant ear aches as a child and having a way to test whether or not my dad needed to take off work was nice so that we didn't go there only to be told that there was severe fluid build up but nothing they could do. The only problem was that fluid build up would cause an infection later on down the road but knowing the difference between on its way to becoming infected and actually infected helped so that we didn't waste the trip. I had so many ear and tonsil infections as a kid that my tonsils are now permanently enlarged and it's been recommended that I get them removed as it can actually mess up my throat and suffocate me as my body changes when I get older.

I used to use peroxide to clean mine and my dogs ears. It kind of sounds like a volcano going off in your ear, but my dog liked it. I also use ear candles. As a result I found that the peroxide was leaving a white residue in my ears, and latter was advised not to use peroxide, but rather vinegar and alcohol. I suggest that if you do use it in your ears be sure to rinse it out after a few minutes.

If you know a cosmetologist friend, you can get 30 or 40 volume peroxide. It comes in a cream that you will not have to add flour to. You can also get powdered hair bleach to add to the peroxide if you are trying to whiten white clothing or light colored tile or other items. I have used this method on white shirts and t-shirts.

I am a doctor and surgeon and I recommend it instead of harsh chemicals for many things, I tell my patients to mix a little peroxide with baking soda bad place it in a clam or oyster shell. Then place some on your toothbrush, gently scraping the shell with the brush. There are natural chemicals such as Phosphorus in clam shells that will increase the natural whitening power of the peroxide and the baking soda and leaves your teeth looking and feeling like you just had them cleaned by my friends, the dentists.

Natural all-purpose cleanser and disinfectant

In large container mix together:

2 cups water

1/2 cup vinegar

3/4 cup hydrogen
peroxide

1 tsp liquid dish soap

Pour into smaller spray bottle and use as needed.

Hydrogen peroxide can dry out the eardrum. This can lead to a cracked eardrum. I was told by my doctor to put a drop of oil in each ear to avoid it drying out.
