Hydrogen Peroxide Uses For The Body
In this video, we will be telling you hydrogen peroxide uses for the body.

Hydrogen peroxide is a weak acid consisting of Hydrogen and Oxygen and has the chemical formula H2O2. It is used as an antiseptic in homes for cleaning shallow wounds and cuts. But besides this, there are other uses of hydrogen peroxide for the body.
When you use peroxide, go for medical-grade peroxide, which is 3% strength. That means it’s 97% water and 3% peroxide. Lets take a look at the uses.

1. Hair
The term 'peroxide blonde' is quite common in beauty salons. It refers to hair bleached with hydrogen peroxide. The chemical is a good bleaching agent and is used to lighten hair color before the dye is applied.

A hair strand test should be conducted first to know if the result is favorable. Hydrogen peroxide kills germs and free radicals in hair, but it also depletes the natural oil in the hair.

To make bleach, make a paste of 1 tbsp of Hydrogen peroxide and 2 tbsp of baking soda in a bowl. After washing and conditioning your hair, section it to prepare for applying the bleach.

Place an aluminum foil underneath the section you which to lighten, then apply the mix using a brush. Roll up the foil to stop the paste from spreading and create warmth in the section.

Repeat for all other sections and leave for 30 - 45 minutes. Then Rinse the hair and air-dry.

2. Teeth
Teeth stains can be quite difficult to remove, but H2O2 is a good household item for teeth whitening. When used with baking soda, it removes teeth stains and plaque.

Hydrogen peroxide has antibacterial properties which makes it excellent for treating bad breath and swollen gum. Mouth bacteria causes both and is easily eliminated by using hydrogen peroxide as a mouthwash. A simple mouthwash with hydrogen peroxide can help remove light stains and bad breath. However, a person should avoid leaving hydrogen peroxide solutions on the teeth for long periods.

3. Ears
Hydrogen peroxide can also be used at home to remove ear wax. Put a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in your ear with a dropper and leave to soften the wax.

Add water drops after a day or two, then tilt your head to drain the residue. Pat your ear dry with a towel.

4. Nails
Keeping nail paints for a long period can discolor your fingernails. Using hydrogen peroxide and baking soda can also be used to remove discoloration.

To apply, mix 1 tbsp of hydrogen peroxide and 1 tbsp of baking soda in a container. Apply on nails with a toothbrush and massage, then soak your fingers and toes in the water for 5 - 10 minutes. Then Rinse with warm water.

5. Skin
The human skin is the largest body organ and is often the first indicator of poor health or hygiene. Thus, keeping it healthy should be a priority.

Hydrogen peroxide promotes skin health by preventing acne and blackheads. Acne is caused by bacteria and dead skin cells that get trapped underneath the skin.

Naturally occurring oil on the skin blocks skin pores when it becomes excessive, thus preventing bacteria and dead cells from escaping.

When hydrogen peroxide is applied to the skin, it loses one of its two Oxygen atoms in a process called oxidation. This kills bacteria and drys excessive sebum, leaving skin pores open.

It exfoliates the skin which exposes new skin cells and makes age spots less visible. It also prevents infection when used to clean minor cuts.

Hydrogen peroxide should be used with caution on the skin. It is advisable to consult a doctor before use on sensitive skin. If you experience a tingly sensation after applying it, quickly wash it off with cold water.

6. Detoxing
Hydrogen peroxide is also a great detoxifier. If you want to save some money on a spa, making a relaxing detox bath is a good alternative.

When added to water, hydrogen peroxide releases oxygen atoms which kill toxins and free radicals.

To make a detox bath, you will need
2 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide

I have this stubborn zit on my nose that won't go away. I've popped it several times, and it keeps coming back in a couple of hours. It bled and I have a scab on it but the zit grows around the scab. It's gross. My dad told me to use hydrogen peroxide to dry it out. So I'll try that. Zits are disgusting.

Don’t use it for wounds! Especially not on the face! I tried to clean a scrape on my face with it and ended up losing half the skin on my face due to a chemical burn. Trust me, you don’t want that it’s not only very uncomfortable, but it’s damning to your self esteem
