Manuals are awesome. They are much better than falling asleep driving an auto...which is why you see so many people playing on their phone while driving to keep themselves awake.

I will say, being stuck in traffic (and at an incline) SUCKS, but I just bought my second car and now I have 2 manuals. Love them!

Just bought my first car. Manual Jetta. It’s amazing, even in traffic. It can start in 3rd gear it’s got so much torque. And it’s got hill hold!

driving in windy mountains is probably the easiest because you can just stay in gear and if you want to kick up speed you can really improve on downshifting/accelerating techniques

im never too bothered by stop start traffic, but those moment when you can get to 2 and then the traffic stops is my foil

Man I freaking love driving in traffic shifting between 1-2 and 2-1, every time the shift is smooth, especially from 2-1 with rev matching, you get a dopamine shot, every time.

Traffic isn’t that bad, the clutch engagement is muscle memory for me, even on the George Washington bridge during rush hour, I had already been driving manual for over a year at that point.

Stop and go traffic isn't too bad as long as you leave a decent gap in front of you. That way when the cars ahead are stopping and going constantly, you're just crawling behind them not having to shift often.

I daily ride a motorcycle and there comes times where I honestly can’t cut through the entire traffic so I’ll be stuck in traffic for a little from first to second from first to second and your right it could get annoying
