TV synopsis：When politician Peter (Chris Noth) is arrested and imprisoned for a sex and political scandal, his wife, Alicia (Julianna Margulies), is forced to end her life as a “stay-at-home mom” to support the family on her own.Alicia returns to her former career as a defense attorney. Alicia returns to her pre-marital career as a defense attorney. As a junior partner at a prestigious Chicago law firm, Alicia is welcomed by her old friend Will (Josh Charles), her law school classmate and the firm's title partner. He wants to see how the former powerhouse will fare in court after thirteen years, and Alicia is flattered and grateful to be mentored by the firm's top litigator, Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski). But she soon realizes that the “guidance” comes with strings attached, and that Diane is not as “enthusiastic” as she seems. To succeed, Alicia has to rely on herself!
