I am not saying that electric vehicles are more fun to drive but in terms of efficient use of energy this is how it works. Let me know what I missed!

The powerplant where your electricity comes from is about 45% efficient. Gotta factor that in.

Dude, where do you think electricity comes from? Nintendo switches? Target gift cards?

Ok and now give us a number on how much energy is used to mine and refine all the required elements to make the batteries.

Bro, you made me a believer, Dinosaurs really existed, and the Earth is a Spinning Ball. I can sleep now.
Fossil Fuels, what ever.

Mining recources for EVs is better than mining fossil fuels

The truck that tows your EV (most of the time) is about 25% efficient.

So %36 energy efficiency [Unless it is all renewable energy], low air drag, EVs are more fuel-efficient if you look at all those factors but not too insane. You need to actually be able to recycle lithium efficiently to make EVs cheap and eco-friendly and you might lower emissions for low production cars

I noticed you didn't talk about cobalt and other components needed to be mined for electric vehicles. If your claim is that electric vehicles are better for the environment, you should address all aspects, not just one aspect.

What do you do with the lithium cells once past the service life? Or if the vehicle is involved in an accident and is a total loss?

Worth noting that once enough batteries are produced there is the option to recycle most components to fix the mining issue. Also, emerging technologies are giving more options for battery composition that require less heavy metals.

The bottom line is, if you don't want ecology, you'll get oncology

We just going to ignore how bad lithium mining is for the environment.

One more caveat still is that you’d still need to convert gas to electricity.
We can convert gas to electricity far more efficiently that we can convert gas in a car motor to motion. Partly because it’s a more efficient process partly because we can do this at a power plant instead of the confines of a car that has to move.

So even still it’s more efficient to use electric cars, but not as efficient as this video suggests

I hate electricity like bro when I was 6 years old I used to see people drift and drive crazy with loud cars I was like wow that’s pretty good now I’m 15 I learned everything about cars now it’s all going to be electricity like dodge, Toyota, Honda and many more like life isn’t fun any more

It would take 40, 100, 400, 000 pounds of lithium to build new electric models to replace gas powered cars for everyone in America... we only have 48, 500, 697, 681 pounds of usable lithium on the planet... the USA only makes up 19% of the cars on the planet, it would take over 200, 100, 000, 000 pounds to make the amount of cars in use today

Making the batteries is a toxic process within itself 😢
