One thing to mention I didn't say in this episode: if NE was a 30 year old woman who was planning to have children at presentation, the blood pressure medicine choices would be slightly different

It feels so good every time you get to say, "full recovery." 💜

I was on 5 different blood pressure medicines from the doctors in VA for years. It was still uncontrolled for years. I ended up going to Colorado for a few years and switched to the VA there. They immediately identified a spot on my left adrenal gland. I had surgery immediately, and I am now normal BP with no meds. Thanks to the specialist at the Colorado VA. They are wonderful and gave me my life back.

"Should we look for the root cause?"
"Ofcourse not, that would be too obvious"

Hard to believe such persistent issue could be left without digging deeper into the root cause. Reminds me to always care for yourself as nobody's more responsible for you than you.

This is exactly what my mother had, the adrenal tumor, the week bones, the lack of sleep, the inanely high blood pressure... and the damn doctors who ignored us pointing out that this is likely what she had for three years, just saying "we all get old". Two spinal fusions and removal of the tumor later she is doing fine but had to retire early. And don't forget the doctor who could have caught my Dad's pancreatic cancer early enough to save him. So many doctors are in this line of work purely for prestige and money and do not care for their patients.

2 year wait time is finally over! I've been waiting for these so much, I started watching when I was applying to med school and now 5-6 years later I'm less than a year from graduating, main channel and this one have been a massive help during studying! I absolutely aced glycyrrhizin cases in seminars and diagnosed patients hypertension because of the construction licorice man video. I've had times where you drop a video a week before we get an IDENTICAL case report as a problem to solve in uni (f.e. neisseria meningitidis infant case, we use problem base learning). I owe you a big thanks!

We had a friend visit that we hadn't seen in a couple of years. He didn’t look well. My husband asked if he was well and he said he was diagnosed with "Hypokalemia". My husband said, " oh, low potassium in blood!" Everyone in the room stopped talking and just looked at him. (We've watched your videos for a couple of years, now)
Thank you, doctor, for your informative, entertaining and educational films!

My brother had HBP and was on medication. One night he went to sleep and one of his dogs insisted on pawing him until he woke up. My brother was sick when he woke. He had ringing in his ears, a bad headache and his heart felt like it was gonna pound right out of his chest. He called an ambulance and he was having a severe bout of HBP.
If it weren't for his dog, he probably would have passed away. His dog was not a trained service animal. Strictly a pet, but she knew...somehow she knew there was something wrong. Never underestimate the power of animals!

My dog is scaring me lately. She never snuggles me for long. She likes her own space. Lately she has been like Velcro! I hope it's nothing serious. 😳

So glad to see a new video on this channel. The content on the main is great, but the deeper dives here are top-tier educational content.

I had a growth on a Parathyroid gland that went undiagnosed for possibly 25 years. It led to osteoporosis resulting in broken kneecaps. Depression, constipation, thirst, kidney stones all this cleared up after the gland was removed.

The title had me worried after previous "Ruined Life" vids, so was relieved by the Full Recovery in this one!
