You’re one of the only people I’ve seen who can take these big concepts and distill them into information that people can relate with and act on.

I’m tired of the blind “follow your passion” one liners. This is the nuance that a lot of young people need.

We need this message out in front of more Millennials and Gen Zs. So many people believe that there's just those few ways to achieve 'success', without ever really giving thought to what *they* themselves define as 'success'. Success defined by others is never true success in personal terms.

The scary part is transitioning when you've had success in a career that is NOT your passion. Thinking of starting from ground zero again is daunting.

it's passion that pushes you to go far... Same, I didnt take graphics designer as a career bec my parents didn't want to see me broke in the future so i took another route, got my license but.. how far can we really fake it? At the end of the day, I'd stay up late painting, trying to catch up what I've missed for the day bec having a corporate job sucks the life out if ya and only when u start unleashing ur creative side can only make u feel alive.

I also denied my "clues" until I graduated college and did some exploring. Can say for sure that once I realized and embraced them life has been an adventure ever since :)

a teacher at the school said this, it has stuck with me ever since

The first sentence caught my attention. The paragraph made it about me (the viewer) unlike others youtubers that work so hard on their intros.

My passion is comics too! I realized that after so many years of reading fiction and watching anime, and movies I just want to create my own stories. It's very difficult and I'm lucky to be able to pursue and invest in my dream because of my full time job but it's really the passion that keeps me going even when it gets tough. Thank you for the video!

I just turned 38, and finally had this moment just a couple of months ago. I walked away from my university in the middle of a semester and embraced the creative side of myself I've spent a good thirty years trying to ignore for the sake of not wanting to "suffer like an artist". This video hit me right to the core.

As you we're talking I've remembered some stories that my parents used to tell me. Stories that the creative spirit was in me since before I could walk.
When I was a little child I used to draw all the walls behind my bed with crayons. I was drawing all sorts of stuff on the walls where I could reach, so the creative spirit was there all the time. Another story was when I was a toddler and painting the walls with milk from the bottle until I was bored and felt asleep. After I grew older and got my first PC with internet, I've stumbled upon graffiti art and started doing that all day long. Trying to do my own letters, my own custom fonts, my own characters. So yes, this video was an eye-opener and a kick in the b*tt to realize that this is what I was doing since I can barely remember and what I will do from now on.
Thank you, Chris!

Passion is a compass. A compass that can help you find your purpose in life. For me, it's been dance. I never would've been who I am today without it and it continues to guide me when I'm lost. If you don't know what you're passionate about, it's okay. Just be curious. Try new things, meet new people, and eventually it'll come. Once you've found it, keep hold of it and do not suppress it :) Thank you The Futur for sharing such an important message!

Honestly, Chris, you are one person who I can be sure of and look up to when I am not sure about myself. Thanks for doing this great job and keep going!

I always loved to evoke emotion from people with visuals and storytelling. In comes UX/UI design, comics/animation, videos, video games, drawing, etc. however, some felt better to me (notice how I said ‘felt’, and instinctive feeling). I’ve now narrowed down to UX/UI design and comic strips/short animations as my main artistic outlets. I also love technology (got a Computer Engineering degree, but it’s not my strength) and business/marketing which is my latest endeavor, website design/development as a freelancer where I am learning/doing UX/UI design. I’m thinking of going back to working for a company as a UX/UI designer so I can focus on just making and marketing my animations but still do what I love as a day “job” :)

Love this! I totally relate with denying my creative passions. I've been doing it constantly until I found your channel 💕 Thank you for showing us what's possible
