"Passion is not a job, a sport, or a hobby, it is the full force of your attention and energy that you give to whatever is right in front of you"

"You don't follow your passion, your passion follows you." This is what everyone needs to realise.

“You’re not going to get stuck somewhere, you’re stuck NOW!”

That is fantastic advice for me now. Wish I could have understood it almost a year ago haha

"Passion is a feeling, not a plan! And feelings change." Finally I get to hear that nothing is wrong with me ✌

I've never been passionate about anything or anyone.
If you are genuinely passionate about anything then be VERY grateful because it is a gift.

"Pasion is where your energy and attention meets somebody's needs" That hit hard.

This is music to my ears. I've always hated the "follow your passion" advice, because I don't have a passion, and that advice made me feel belittled. Thanks for helping me feel validated!

"You don't create your life first, and then live it. You create it by living it, not agonizing about it."
Very well put, thank you Terri!

"passion is a feeling and it can change". That hit me real hard, cos just a few weeks ago everyone used to praise me for how well I play the keyboard, now my keyboard is sitting in a corner catching dust, passion does change.

I'm going to be honest, this has been the shortest ten minutes of my life. I never knew it ended in just a blink of an eye. I'm seriously lost right now and I felt like she was just having a conversation with me along with the words that I didn't realize I needed to hear. Whoever's reading this, you got this.

In my twenties, my Dad said to me, "When are you going to settled down and do ONE thing?" I knew then my passion was to experience life, the EXPERIENCE WAS my goal and passion. I tried to explain this but my parent's generation cannot compute this philososphy.

This was actually really really helpful, I'm getting out of a depression and an existential crisis that came with it concerning the future and passion and jobs and success and happiness and this just helped calm the voices.

"You don't create your life first and then live it. You create it by living it not agonizing about it." The first time ever that I felt compelled to write someone's words on my whiteboard.

Powerful! She didn't say don't love something. She said, don't stare at your life. Keep on!

I'm turning 27 soon and have spent years switching majors and taking time off until I dedicated myself to a major that I thought I ought to be passionate about. Now that I've finished my uni, gone on an internship and have been trying to find work, I'm starting to realize that this tendency to focus on passion has deprived me of years of growth and potential opportunities but also that it's okay for me to think about different ventures. Hearing this talk fills me with a lot of hope that I can still find my own way of doing things by helping others, rather than thinking just about myself.
