Monitors used

VA Monitor:
LG 32GK850G-B 32" QHD Gaming Monitor with 165Hz (left)

OLED 27gr95qe-b Monitor: 27'' UltraGear™ OLED Gaming Monitor QHD with 240Hz (middle)

IPS Monitor: ASUS ROG Strix 27” XG27AQM - WQHD Fast IPS, 270Hz (right)

Note: The IPS glow is kind of exaggerated when taking pictures/video of it on a phone in a dark room but in usual settings it doesn't look as bad.

its not fair for the va, being filmed from the side harms the black level... any way oled and qd oled rules!
edit: atleast the va looks black..

I wouldn’t say this is a fair comparison, you have the OLED at the central position facing directly at the camera and the other two panels at an angle. Yes the other two will more light bleed than the OLED but it’s very much pronounced at the angles you have here.

If U Keep VA Panel at an angle you will definitely see those blooming

You can't shoot VA panel from an angle, that's not how it should look

IPS glow is hideous! I will gladly embrace the drawbacks of VA

Va is pretty cheap and i will just use it for some little gaming and studying so va is good for me

Just wish LG had gone with a glossy screen on their OLED like with their TVs. The matte coating dulls the colours and contrast slightly in my opinion.

Either your settings on the IPS are bad or you got a bad panel. Looks like a ton of IPS glow and even some backlight bleed

difference between oled and ips is night an day but VA has a very good black

IPS Monitor: ASUS ROG Strix 27” has a lot of backlight around the edges of the screen. For me, the choice is obvious.... OLED 27gr95qe-b Monitor: 27'', has the best picture.

Honestly, the VA panel looks comparable to OLED but the IPS can't even compete. The thing is that ROG Strix panel isn't even a budget and it already looks so bad, imagine the $250-300 ones.

I am debating getting this monitor, but I have heard people say the brightness is so low it is unusable in a lit room. Have you had this issue? Some say you can easily fix it by messing with the sdr/hdr settings, but others say that makes no difference. Besides that, how do you like it so far?

Why'd you film the VA, and especially the IPS in such a bad angle?
You might aswell point your phone's flash at them to make them appear even worse.

IPS looks horrible, must be the viewing angle?

Why did you angle the VA and IPS so much? This can't be observed properly

i had an IPS monitor and it is awful for playing horror games like Resident Evil.

The real question is whether all monitors were calibrated before this test comparison was made. You gotta calibrate each monitor to match the test environment - ambient light, brightness, contrast, sRGB, etc. These types of videos show what they look like right out of the box, but it isn't a good representation of their accuracy.

everything is perfect in the lg oled except for brightness...atleast 250 nits in SDR was needed
