We just found out that our cat knows a lot of tricks. He knows hi five, shake paw, circle, weave, target, sit, stay, come, stand tall, and reach for the sky.

My guest bedroom is called “the cat room” because that’s where their toys cat perches, water fountain, & a lot of their things are. I always make sure the night light in there is working & if we are ever gone when it gets dark, I leave a few lights on in the house. Idk, I just can’t leave them in total darkness. 😢

I'm glad you made this short. So many people think that cats can miraculously see in the dark. The truth of the matter is that they see in low-light conditions much better than we do. Much much much much much much better. But in absolute darkness, they are nearly as blind as we are, lol. Okay nobody's that blind but you get the point.

It’s a mirror in their eye that reflects light and shines it on what they want to see. Like if you are in a dark room with a small amount of light shine that light on a mirror and focus it on what you want to see in that room. That’s how a cat sees at night. Amazing animals!

I have had cats all my life and know they need SOME light, but we had a cat who would go into an underground basement, door shut, not even the pilot light from the furnace because it was in another room, but she managed to enjoy herself and catch anything that got in there, (mostly crickets. We credited her incredibly long whiskers that helped.

Sometimes when I feed my cats at night I left the lights on and my mind goes “they don’t need it”
But I keep the lights on anyways, because it would be rude from me to turn it off
