I am thankful to attend financial peace early 50s. Wish i had found classes earlier. Lit a fire under us to get our house paid off. Some people thought us crazy because interest was 2.625%. doesnt matter, we saved thousands in interest we didnt pay and boosted up our retirement account with money saved.

I heard you. We made a car purchase where there was zero interest. And a family member discount of factory employee. I found a high yield savings with 5.5%. So I put 50k in the auto draft account. The car “payment” is 800 for 3 years. So far in 1 year I’ve collected about 3500 in interest from that 50. Our house mortgage is getting the intrest from car. And we have 75k left to pay. We have 135 liquid. All 4 cars are paid for except that one.

I’m sorry I know this is a debt. But did I do it half way mythological?

What if you have bad credit and are about to be out of debt? You need good credit to buy a home. So, taking on new debt is a must to build credit back up.
