Odin is dangerous, but he doesn't look like dangerous, that what makes him more dangerous.

In Norse mythology Thor battles the snake for one last time and kills it but then shortly after dies himself from the wounds and the poison so they technically kill each other. Santa Monica didn’t wanna totally destroy this so they had the snake cover the axe with its venom hence why the slash never healed.

Odin's bossfight shouldve been stupidly difficult with several layers and stages to make players appreciate his powers.

Odin was playing himself as the humble grandpa the entire time which made him look less intimidating and dangerous so people thought he is weak which just shows how scary Odin is he manipulated everyone xD

The reason thors scar never healed on his stomach was because in the first game of god of war 2018 kratos throws the axe in the water and the world serpent spits it back out to kratos and it says “Eitr Imbued” meaning the axe was equipped with the world serpents Venom and the world serpent being thors natural enemy venom is thors weakness so he couldn’t really heal from it.

the reason why Thor still has the cut from the beginning of the game is because back in GOW 2018 when the world serpent "ate" the leviathan axe and then threw it back to Kratos, he gave the axe his venom which Thor can't recover from. (Thor and the serpent have beef, thats why he gave the axe his venom knowing Kratos will fight Thor later on.)

Technically he only has that slash permanently because the axe is coated in Jörmungandr’s venom and since Jörmungandr got a grudge with Thor his venom is one of the only things that can permanently injure Thor. Meaning the axe is one of those things

Odin is a warrior god that got *old* you need to appreciate and fear someone that gets old in a position where men die young.

He may not be as physically powerful as others, but his magic more than makes up for it. He uses it to increase his strength, protect himself from physical blows, heal any injuries which get past that protection, bind his foes, and do pretty much everything. He's the epitome of the saying, 'Knowledge is power'. He's spent his entire existence collecting knowledge, and it shows. A shame he never used it for anything but empowering himself.

Odin is such an amazing, formidable and well-written villain. For me he’s a contender for Best Villain of 2022 alongside Riddler, Homelander and Vecna.
