Odin did get one good showing recently forgot what book it was but it was Odin with the OF and the eternals skyfather teaming up against the Queen of the Norns, Odin managed to destroy the Norn stone and made Hulk and Ikaris look like weaklings Lols But get use to Cates making a fool out of Odin and his hulk run didn't start off so good in my eye's he's regressing Bruce already.

Funny, this beast has the strength to manhandle Odin but he can barely scratch thors hand with a swing intended to kill. However, it wasnt so long ago that Malekith was capable of chopping off Thors arm .

Why is Thors story so wrapped up in the hammer for the last 10 years or so. I remember when it was a notable weapon at Thors side but now it's at the center of so many stories and often alongside it is everyone under the damn sun can lift and use it which greatly undermines its uniqueness and Thors uniqueness as a character which may be the underlining point by marvel comics bc man do they want to downplay him..I appreciated D Cates run of Thor at first but here we go again with stories wrapped around the hammer.

Been workshopping an alt Idea for an odinforceless odin since that what if comic where he fought mephisto where he’s disguised as a hitch hiking war vet traveling midgard. binging himself on books and magic while inadvertently tricking evil doers and motivating heroes with clever strategies. Maybe he brings his crows and wolves around with him too.

Maybe its not the most ideal condition but I can see that much more likely and more interesting as to what odin would be doing when he’s no longer king than just getting his drunk ass handed to him all the time.

Man as long as there telling bad ass stories who cares ya know.. I understand wanting to keep your favorite character awesome and able to bend the universe but every now and then you gotta scale it down or there's no real threat. Someone who can do anything makes for a short story.. But much props to all the new Thor runs. Super dope stories. I love all Thor for real

At this point I would say that Odin is just a notch stronger than Spiderman, after years of fighting Surtur, Galactus and Thanos. I can already see the ending of this story: 🙄on the paper Thor remains the king but on the throne there is Odin (like superintendent of Gondor) and Thor takes hold of Mijolnir again and goes back to running around like you have old times, because he understood that he is not worthy to be king, 😒and because he must guard the hammer and because he is humble and bla bla bla ... 😑😑

oden should be on the same lvl as thor prior to his ascension as technically thor is the same generation of gods as his father since his mother was a primordial goddess. Though right now Oden is just everything's favorite punching bag.
