A couple very minor comments -- 1. for the Bambu desiccant packs, I don't think you need to pull them apart from each 1/2 being glued together. From what I can tell the (in)side of the pack with the glue is plastic, while the outsides allow moisture through. I think the glue is just to make it easier to put the packs into the AMS. 2. I'm sure this is a "well DUH" for most people, but make sure to push the AMS lid down fully to keep it (somewhat) sealed.

This helped me in a surprising way. I've used cheap/ midgrade printers and never worried about keeping the filament dry. The P1S is a tremendous increase in quality and thought this might help even more. Then you showed how satisfied you are with 10% humidity so I checked what the ambient at my house has been. Almost Halloween and a cold front has come through and humidity has ranged from 11% - 16%.
I'm glad to know that I don't need to worry.

Best part is using rechargable beads, which you essentially just throw in the oven for a few hours on a relatively low temp to dry out, then you can use 'em again.

Awesome video! I love the AMS mods. I wish more Bambu upgrades (door/enclosures, filament multi feed, etc) were made like this vs just downloading the files and trying to figure it out.

hey very new to 3d printing, i own a printer for two weeks now ;-) and my first printer is a bambu lab x1c with a AMS unit. I will definitely be printing this upgrade, so thank you. I know i just began my journey but due to the aniversay sale i already bought a second AMS... (i know, but i saw to many prints with 5 of 6 colors). But thank you for this video!

I printed all three of these and the lids on my P1S with no supports and zero problems. Thanks for the tip. Only one thing about this design is it doesn't fit under the front lip of the AMS it needs to be about 3/8" shorter otherwise it leans back toward the filament. I am going to modify the center one (hate to work with the stl) I think the outer ones seem to be ok with the slight lean, only the center one may be a problem when the shaking gets started. Great video, I really like both desiccant box options. However, I don't think putting the hygrometer on top of desiccant will give a good reading. Has anyone found a better way to mount a hygrometer that isn't so close to the desiccant to get a better humidity reading?
