With a relatively sedate color palette for suits, colorful accessories are one of the best ways to inject color into classic menswear ensembles, and socks are one of the simplest and most fun ways to do so.

Colorful socks can be integrated into most suit ensembles without sacrificing the fun that colorful socks entail or compromising on the formality of a suit. Although with apologies to Prime Minister Trudeau, it would feel a little out of place when addressing the World Economic Forum while wearing rubber duckies on our socks.

I've found that colorful socks work a lot better with odd color suit combos than full matching suits. They're more consistent with the whole mix and match theme of odd color suits, but stick out like a sore thumb with full matching suits.

All in all, colorful socks are a whole lot of fun to wear! I even wear white dress socks sometimes. But I always follow the sock rule when wearing a full matching suit.

I just purchased several pairs of socks from Fort Belvedere. I can tell you that when you receive and open the package, you can tell immediately that these socks are high quality. I just finished the pre wash before wearing as instructed, and plan to wear them every chance I get. I will purchase more in the future. I prefer to choose 1 common color for my dress shoes (+ matching belts). PS: Blue shirts seem to fo with everything except black tie / white tie. Also I favor maroon as the primary color for necktie / bowtie + just vary patterns. 😃

I haven't watched the video yet, ....but I own now seven pairs of Fort Belvedere over the knee socks, and I LOVE them all!! They feel the best, they look the best, they rock every outfit from jeans to chinos to wool trousers, ....and with every mid-casual to dressy shoe. I particularly like wearing them with chukka boots. I have found NO other sock brands that beat them. Okay, now to start the vid. Thanks.

I have plenty of socks that are multi color and I match them with my shoes 👞 and suits. I do have at least two pairs of argyle socks that I wear with my casual shoes.
