I've been doing Ketogenic vegan for 3months and it's the best decision I've ever done I was taking 6 medication for diabetes high blood pressure and high cholesterol and A1C was 9 now A1C is under 6 and my doctor did labs and everything is normal and has taken me off of all medications I'm so glad I did keto Vegan plus I've lost 25pounds and 50 more pounds to go 🙂

This is true about vegan diet, if you're not monitoring what you eat, you still end up w insulin resistance. I loved (and was addicted to) bread, pastries, pasta, etc high carb, because they can still be vegan-friendly.

I don't think being in ketosis is optimal, even if it's plant based. Especially using oils. But, I'd rather people do vegan keto than use animal based foods

Been doing vegan keto for around 15 months with occasional breaks. I find it easy to keep eating this way and my body is showing me this is so.

The animals don't care whether we eat high carb or high fat us as long as we don't eat them.

SO psyched you posted this interview! I've recently begun a Vegan Keto diet and am loving the results. All plant-based. I love how their have been studies on the vegan version that support it along with some pf my favorite plant-based doctors and scientists in the community. Thanks for your channel!!

vegan keto is the only thing thats ever made maintaining my weight effortless. i always pile on the pounds eating carbs and am consistently hungry (aka HANGRY). blood work is perfect after a year vegan keto.

I am always amazed to see the kind of doctors that they get on the show. These guys are probably some of the best guys in their field bar none. If you do a little research on this guy man does he have a lot of credentials what a boss I can't believe that they have these guys doing YouTube videos it's crazy and very educational. Keep up the fantastic videos plant based news!

I enjoy my plant based keto diet however I'm of the mindset that your diet should fluctuate and evolve as you live.

Great video. I ate a fruit-based vegan diet for many years. I got tired of the highs and lows and big glucose consumption. I was always hungry. Now I am eating a vegan high fat diet that includes lots of leafy greens, lots of sprouts, nuts, flax, chia, avocado, and coconut, some berries, some fruit. I also do intermittent fasting where I eat between 11am and 6pm. So far, about 5 months, I love it. Blood pressure has not changed at all, still 100-60. If you want equanimity, this is the diet.

Just seems like a stupid risk, plant or animal fat why do it? You can achieve the same results with what appears to be the same amount of effort and less risk just eating a whole food plant based diet and carefully understanding and planning your caloric needs and activity levels. Let's just face it, Keto is popular, like Atkins before it because it tells people good things about their bad habits and seems easy.

I have been on a very strict vegan keto diet for two months.It has ended a lifelong feeling of hunger that has been stressful. I'm also hopeful it will give my pancreas some rest as I developed insulin resistance as a side effect of Lyme disease. After two months I"m taking a bit of time off from it and going back to a low fat plant based diet, my norm. All in all it hasn't been a huge change for me in any way except food limitations and no guilt about eating too much avocado...

vegan keto is fine and not hard. so many people think vegan is so hard or difficult, why? I am on keto for 3 months feel very well. weight loss is only part of feeling so much better. many people seem afraid of keto and vegan for no reason except for the fact they are just confused. all my blood test results are remarkably improved

I went on a high fat vegan diet with a tiny bowl of oatmeal and some berries as my carbs. I wanted to get rid of candida which I taught I had. It wasn't pretty. I was constipated, I had head rush every time I stood up, I had a huge rash on my back full of blisters and felt I had no energy and felt sluggish. I lost quite a bit of weight in close to a month. I was 145 lbs and when I switched my diet I was 117 lbs and I'm 5 foot 5 in. The fat was just going thru me and I was putting nut butters and oils and I was still loosing weight. I was sitting literally on my bones. The fact is if you don't have carbs or high protein to trigger insulin you will not store that fat. Ketogenic diets in my opinion are not fun at all and it does mimic starvation. High carb for the win.

I succeeded in figuring out what recipes to makes on the keto vegan diet and its gotten easier. My skin was so clear and I lost 30 lbs this year and still going even though i fell off my for a little wow but now im back on my goal weight is 140 lbs but im 215 now after 30lbs weightloss
