I was fortunate enough to see The Shangri-Las at an old Murray The K show when this was a big hit. Also on that show, believe or not, was The Supremes, Dusty Springfield, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, and Smokey Robinson, among others. Great days man.

Ah yes, the first of the mighty Shangri-Las' daytime dramas. I believe their producer was "Shadow" Morton, and he helmed their other epic hits, including "Leader Of The Pack" which you've already done. I believe you still have "Give Him A Great Big Kiss" and that all time tear jerker "I Can Never Go Home Anymore."
I think they also did "The Train From Kansas City" with its own cool special effects.
The great guitarist Jeff Beck did a cover of "Remember" I believe. Also try out The Angels and their classic "My Boyfriend's Back."

Shangri-las are one of my favorite three girl groups of the 60s. The other two are the Supremes and the Ronettes. Yes, Aerosmith covered this song on their 1979 album Night in the Ruts (which is a "spoonerism" of the phrase "right in the nuts").
