Are you thinking about transitioning to plant based eating but not sure where to start? In this video, I discuss the 3 methods I recommend using. None of them are right or wrong. It really just depends on the individual, where they're at in life and what type of change they're ready for in life. To give you a high-level idea of what I explain in the video, there are basically 2 main methods: diving in and the tip toe method You use diving in if you're looking for a radical change and want the plant based lifestyle to really "shock" you and convince you of its merits. But if you're not looking for a drastic change, then the tip toe method is ideal for those who want to gently ease into this way of eating one meal at a time. And then there's a 3rd method I share, juice fasting, which is the most extreme of all, but is also the most beneficial for anyone who tries it because it literally cleanses and heals your colon better than anything else you could possibly do.

My apologies for those who clicked on this video looking for a step-by-step video with a grocery haul, recipes, etc. That's not at all what I wanted to do here. This is only a discussion. I'm simply introducing you to the 3 high-level methods to transition to a plant based lifestyle. It's up to you to decide which one is most appropriate for you and do the planning yourself. No one can make a healthy lifestyle choice for you. You have to take onus and put in the work yourself. I hope that makes sense. Let this video be your guide on how to approach your whole food plant based dietary changes, but take your time planning, finding recipes and experimenting along the way. And don't forget to have fun too! :)

One thing I decided to allow for myself when going plant based, I did not make it a rule that I would be 100% vegan for life. It’s one thing to never eat a Big Mac again, but to say I’d never eat my mom’s chocolate pie again is the kind of thing that would make me give up on eating that way.

Starting my journey today (diet/training) - finally found a balanced person that inspired me to do it the right way this time! Thank you Ryan!

Thanks for sharing! I tip-toed into a vegetarian diet over a period of 6 months 5 years ago. And over the years I improved my diet with more and more whole plant foods. Your channel has been an inspiration to improving my diet and habits!

Absolutely agree! Starting RAW just brings your taste buds to life! It cleanses you of all the toxins, oils and artificial sugars! That's the approach I took back in 2014, it's just natural. Great video, thank you 💚

You are the reason why I eat foods like hemp seeds and many other things.

Thanks for the video!

I am still in the implementing phase of getting in more plant based foods, meals and substitutions...

Recently I did reduce my consumation of sweets and ate a lot more fruits and now I finally did break through my plateau and finally losing a few kg's and maintaining them easily!!!!

Thank you!

Thanks for an informative video. I have been thinking for a long time about how to actually behave in order to succeed in taking the step over to a plant-based diet. I will try this this summer!

As a lazy cook, buying an electric pressure cooker greatly simplified my transition to veganism (so not raw). Throw in the ingredients and wait for the timer. After years of cheese on toast and George Foreman-ed sausages, I was soon eating healthy and tasty meals. I’m 5 years in and it’s still my main cooker.

Excellent. Best I ever felt was when I adhered fairly strictly to a raw food diet.. been considering returning to that way of eating, thanks for the inspiration

This is incredibly refreshing and delicious, Ryan. I make this for my Mother every time I go visit. I like to add jicama fruit for crunch!

Excellent message - l dove into the deep end - still swimming in the whole food, plant-based. On the video, drop the levels on your background music. (Greger’s daily dozen is gold standard)

Hello Ryan, loved this video it has some great information. Can you make a video about the most common plant based diet nutrition deficiencies and how to avoid them and what supplements are good to take ?

I am new to becoming a plant based diet. I heard you mention using water instead of using oil (olive) I made my breakfast with no oil in my potatoes and onions and toast. My food was tasty and I was satisfied. Thanks for the tips in eating vegan. I would like to get some coaching via zoom.

I was surprised to hear you say that you were able to run on a piece of fruit for breakfast and a different piece for lunch. I know bananas for example are notorious for slow release energy, but with fruit being so high in sugar, I'd expect to crash before my next meal if I tried this??

Humans wouldn't have pointy teeth if we were meant to eat 100% plants, but we probably eat way too much meat, especially in the West.
My body would probably be happier with more raw fruits and veggies, now that I think about it... Thanks for the motivation!

To skeptics: You don't have to go meatless. First try *less meat.* You'd be surprised how much of what you already like is vegetarian.
