I'm loving trying out Kittl...it would be my go to platform if it supported mobile use through web. Having the capability of sketching up designs on my Galaxy Tab S7+ is a must for me.

I've been using Photoshop for over 20 years for photo editing and I am sure I could figure out how to replicate almost everything in both Canva's and Kittl's libraries BUT it would take time for me to find the graphic assets and cool fonts, and come up with a creative great design...SO having tools like Canva and/or Kittl with great design templates ready to go and easy to manipulate is something I need to save a ton of time. Great video, just what I needed as I start focusing on creating my own shirt designs to sell online versus the high volume shirt orders I have been doing for schools, churches, and businesses for the past 5-6 years.

Kittl is just another design tool guys. Use whatever works for you! Keep creating. Also, who cares that this is a sponsored video. Love Kittl whether they sponsored me or not. Great products speak for themselves.

Nice video! I'm about to start my designer journey and have been comparing tools that would lessen or ease the learning curve. Looked into Canva, Adobe Express and Kittl. For me it's either going to be Adobe Express or Kittl. Do you have an opinion or a recommendation between these two?

You're right about Canva's library. Also... Canva has thousands of templates, but they all tend to look the same. And most of them don't look cool. It's all the same wavy / minimalist stuff. I'm looking forward to trying Kittl. I use Affinity Photo right now, and I'm okay with it. I'd say a 5 on a scale of 1-10I'm hoping Kittl will help me level up a bit. LOL

But with so many people using the same templates on kittl, won't the POD market quickly become saturated with similar designs? That is my only concern, otherwise I love it and am actually considering cancelling my adobe subscription and signing up for the expert kittle subscription.

What’s up Charley, love your channel bro. Can you go over/go into detail how you do your dissolving text with stroke like you done on your A7X Concept video. Either on this channel or Merch Design Academy. You’ve done it in a few vids but I never really got the concept down. Hopefully you know what I’m talking about. Thank you!

I’ve used Photoshop since it first came out for basic image editing to produce assets for websites and other marketing projects. It was very useful and powerful and I was in awe of its capabilities.

I always had a belief that one day I would master it when I had more free time to devote to learning it. I had a very demanding career in the investment business so putting a lot of hours into learning PS wasn’t possible for me.

Through my years of using it for basic editing and a few of the “fancy” things like building frame animations, batch processing, using some of the effects, I would say my skill rating for PS was maybe five or six, on a scale of one to ten. The problem is that I never mastered the basic foundational processes such as layers, layer masks, the many ways to select and how to use them, etc.

When Adobe started charging everyone monthly, vs. allowing us to just buy the program if we wanted to, and my need to do much image editing at that time, I canceled my CC account and found replacements for every program I used with Adobe, except for Photoshop.

I tried Gimp and hated it. Pixlr was okay, but I wasn’t convinced it should be my main image editor. I tried a few other image editing programs but did not find anything I was happy with.

In the last couple years, I’ve been doing more marketing projects where I definitely had needs for a solid image editor. So I signed up for the “Photographer’s Package, ” for about $20/month, which included PS, Lightroom, Bridge, and Portfolio. I barely used any of the other programs except Bridge, which made organizing and accessing images easier and better.

The big problem for me was that I could barely use PS anymore for even the basic processes! The program seemed to have grown exponentially in features, capabilities, and complexity. I put in the time necessary to get back to where I was before I cancelled CC, and can now do the basic things again.

Why is it still so difficult and complex for me to remove a background in PS vs. selecting the image in Canva and pressing the remove background button? The online BG removal services also seemed to have figured out how to code the processes in a way that I’m sure must be highly automated, but gets the job done quickly, inexpensively (or free) and the end result is high-quality—with zero frustration generated within the customer.

I think Adobe is stupid for not making it easier to remove backgrounds in PS. We have proof that they could have done it if they wanted to, because they are promoting how easy, peasy, it is to remove backgrounds in Adobe Express.

I was just starting to learn Adobe Express this week due to a lot of the hoopla and hype I’ve been reading, but I’m not thrilled with it so far. I do my image generation with Midjourney, I noticed a few of the experts I follow in this area are using Kittl and say exactly what you said.

For me, my choice of software is critical, because I want to give myself every advantage skill and efficiency-wise, because the business is hard enough as it is, and I hate making wrong choices at that critical juncture because I hate having to start over with a new program.

I also believe in the principle or strategy of not hopping around like a dumb bunny trying to learn every new program that sounds exciting, but instead, go deep in learning and mastering the program you choose as your main program in the category.

What was super-impressive to me in your video was the amazingly high-quality of the images they allow us to use as templates or starting points. That Highway Club Biker’s Club design was a ten/ 1-10.
