The problem I am seeing on Etsy is rampant design theft. When I create a design using elements form CF and Canva I can not do anything to protect my design because the elements are owned by someone else. This means thieves can steal work and get away with it. There is no recourse. You are better off making your own by hand.

I saw this on their terms and it confused me If I upload my own designs to kittl they can use my uploaded designs in their content? Here is the part that confused me direct from their page. I may try to email them or message them later but didn't know if you had an insight to this part already. Thanks...
2. GRANT OF RIGHTS TO USER UPLOADS
If a User uploads his/her own photos, designs, fonts, illustrations or other content on the Kittl Platform (“User Uploads”), the User grants Kittl a non-exclusive, worldwide, revocable, royalty-free, sublicensable and transferable right to use and exploit the User Uploads for the time of the User’s Subscription plan as part of or in connection with the provision of the Kittl Platform and its service offerings to the User (including hosting, making available to the public, duplication, distribution, display and reproduction). This will allow Kittl to process external upload data on their servers so that a user can use these for any new designs.

If I made a design with Kittl and then download it as an svg from kittl or convert it to an svg somewhere else, can I sell that or not. Geez, these rules are complicated.

And these are rules governing the kittl ToS, not laws. Therefore the right thing to ask is "are your designs compliant with the ToS?" :)
