Thanks for the honest feedback here! We do have photo editing features in our adjustments panel, over on the right side menu, when an image is selected, and multiple-pages (multi-artboards) are coming soon!

I currently use both pretty extensively because they each have their pros and cons. I primarily use Kittl for the creating of my actual designs, and I use Canva for my mockups and marketing. If I was forced to choose one and only one though, right now it would probably be Canva. I'm really surprised Canva has not added more text effects though. That might be the biggest con to Canva for me.

I use both Canva and Kittl, but hands down kittl is my favorite!

Great overview. I use both and prefer Kittl by a country mile. I am designing for POD apparel and as you noted, their designs are incredible and great to build from. Canva lacks a basic feature of having no 300dpi png export, so that's a major limitation and quite stunning that they do not offer this (so it's not good for anyone doing print on physical products -- and the pdf option is not what we want). Canva wins for mockups, Kittl basically has a few and they're not great. So I use Canva for mockups mainly and Kittl for almost everything else. You hit all the pertinent points here, so great overview!

I currently use Canva and have used it for a variety of design projects. I love Canva, but I'm liking the features that Kittl offers in particular with text manipulation. Adding textures, masking and just being able to move the letters in any direction is a huge plus to creating unique designs. Sounds like their licensing is more reasonable for POD sellers too. Perhaps I'll be using both for the features I like in each.

Kittl is not available on mobile. ALOT of us design using mobile devices exclusively. I was really disappointed when I did a trial then couldn't even use it at all because it isn't mobile compatible.
Canva is exactly the same whether you use it on mobile or desktop. I finished a design literally while waiting in line at the grocery store.

As always thank you for all the great info!!!
I use both but I'm leaning more and more to Kittl especially with the effects they offer

I use both too. Basically this post summarized every pro and con. 🎉

FYI, If you go month to month with Kittl the price is $15, not $10. If you pay annually, it is $10/mth = $120.

Thank you again sharing such helpful content that’s not a broken record of what we’ve already heard. Would love a video on your productive efficient listing process. How you post your listing correctly and efficiently the first time. I am about to post my first listing and my perfectionism have me checking that everything is perfect before listing.

That was an in depth tutorial for POD seller! Good job!

I also regularly use both and give Canva the prize. Kittl does have a lot of fun, editable images but it gets questionable at the download phase. My biggest Con for Kittl is even if you set the DPI to 300 and use the 'Optimize Quality' bar, your image still comes out as "medium resolution" in Printify. This, in turn, is sketchy if you're selling POD as the image might come out looking faded or "cracked" during printing.

A little off topic but I had a question about Canva: What is the difference between the solid and dotted line when it comes to the center? I cannot seem to find this answer anywhere!

Kittl has added photo editing/raster image editing a couple of weeks ago. You can alter brightness, hue, saturation etc., but I think it doesn't´t have as many options as Canva. (I'm not quite sure, since I've stopped using Canva a while ago)

I think I’ll go for Kittl. Thank you 🙏🏻

Would you or have you created a video showing a walkthrough for design, mockup, etc for kittl?

I just subscribed to Kittl Pro today after debating for 5 months and already missing Canva's background remover when you upload a graphic from creative Fabrica and erase some parts of it. I don't know if you can do that in kittl.
