Some of these "men" have such a sense of entitlement. They think these lower wage jobs are below them. My dad lost a high paying job when i was a kid. Immediately started doing side jobs and delivering pizzas. If I got fired tomorrow I would be DoorDashing by dinner time. This husband is a wimp for not supporting his family.

If you're a truck driver there is no excuse to not be working full time. I'm a truck driver I worked 65 hours a week and make $110, 000 a year. And I'm home daily. There is plenty of companies that need truckers. There's a huge trucker shortage and it's getting worse. Most truckers are Boulder and won't be in the industry much longer

Now if this was a guy calling in with the same story, we'd have a completely different response. Brother you need to take another job. They're basically telling her to bail if counseling doesn't work. A man would be told to deal with it.

For me it’s my elderly mother. She has no income and had some money from a house being sold. She lives with us but once her money is gone, it’s gone.

However she doesn’t think she needs to live on a budget and goes to Starbucks 3-4 times a week. Buys junk at stores because “it’s a good deal”, even though she doesn’t need it or we don’t want it.

Have had many conversations about not doing this and she doesn’t good for a bit then back at it like nothing ever happened.

Been wondering how to either put her on a budget without her feeling like she is being forced to do this.

Her cognitive abilities are declining but not to the point that we are gonna take her driver’s license but she doesn’t forget things a lot
