At the end of the day, having got my licenses from said kelmscott licensing centre, it depends on you tester as to weather you will pass or fail, they all judge and mark differently and some will let small infractions pass and others won’t

I failed in that exact way and was told that if you are in that form of intersection at all while the light is red it it’s an automatic fail

Big tip for anyone who wants to pass quick and easy with a low chance of failing. Go to a country/outback town and do it there. I did mine in Geraldton, a couple of my friends did it in Kalgoorlie and we all passed our first time. It beats having to do the useless things in a driving test. It's mainly driving and parking. That's it.

What infuriates me is the intersections that have green arrows that stay on for about 2 seconds and then you have to wait 10 minutes for the next cycle

Even if you have controlled intersection, no green arrow specifically for right turn, you pull the car into the middle of the intersection, and hopefully can get around the corner on the amber, providing oncoming traffic drivers don't lead-foot it through on the amber light.

I passed at kelmscott well over 10 years ago even stalled it, and now it seems they hand out licenses without much care, i know of cases where people literally can not drive but get passed

Im unfamilliar with the road but if that was double lane after the turn should you not have turned into closest lane and then indicated over into the left lane?

Where should I sit my test? I drive most in Midland but the test there is pretty unforgiving I hear .... My brothers say city west ?

I've been puzzled why WA drivers don't do this. They wait behind the stop line and if there's too many cars coming towards them they have to wait for the next sequence of lights. In other states you can get two to three cars through the red light depending on the size of the intersection.

Legit i got this wrong 5 or so years ago. The instructor said to me "what are we going to do?" All i said "i know im allowed to go but im not conftable"

we live in a tiny rural town, and driving instructors bring the learners here to do their tests, its a scam that been going on for many years, my freind muhumad told about it in 2005 and they still do it today in 2024.
the instructor is just looking at his phone the whole time and the drivers just cruize around town and no more.

I’ve lived in WA for 20 years and it still infuriates me that drivers will stop at the white line, when they are the first car on a green light. They will actually sit behind the line until the next cycle of lights!
