She updated the video, and explains it as to why. Basic is, Solid white line, you stop if red. if not you have right of way or you crash, the pedestrian would have and should have stopped. and even then she had plenty of time to pass the light even before the pedestrian entered the lane as she was slowing as she approached the light.

For all the people who don't understand whats going on. She basically made the equivelant of a left hand turn on her green light, her stopping for this red is like if she stopped for the crossing traffic red which would/should be above you to prevent this type of confusion. The red light is for cars that are going straight on the road she just turned onto. It's a poor design and the traffic light is too far away.
