How to get your Remote Start Working on your Honda | No tools required | 2017-2022 Honda CRV

I was told by the Toyota Dealer, where I purchased the Honda from, that the remote start was only on higher end models and this car did not have it. However, the key fob still showed it had remote start. I did not like what the dealer told be and started doing research only to find that the remote start was turned off in the setting of the vehicle.

Thought I'd make a quick video on how to correct this issue if anyone else has the same issue.

Thanks so much! I bought a 2025 Honda Pilot Elite mos ago and sales did not know the product. She told me lots of stuff it did but couldn’t even add my phone! I figured lots out but this eluded me! You saved me a trip back to have remote start! All I needed was the way to use! It was switched to on…but never could get it started! Now I know lock..lock..hold remote start….voila! 🎉

I saw the settings/remote start on/off, but I didn't know I had to press Lock button 2x on the remote before pressing the Remote start button! Thanks so much! I have the same issue before it was working and due to a reset it stopped.. but mine is not equipped with the stock audio set.. But has the gathers audio system from japan and cant see that setting.. Any tips?
