1)Turn on your TV
2)For a code search hold A and D
button led change from red to green
3)Enter 991
led will double flash
4)Press the CH ^(UP) button until the TV
turns off . Be PATIENT
5)After the TV turns off ,press Ok (middle)
button and that should program your
remote.

This absolutely works! I spent numerous hours on the phone with Xfinity tech and of course they were no help. Tech told me my box and remote were old that’s why it wouldn’t pair. Told me to go to Xfinity store to change the box and remote. I was skeptical and the nearest store was an hour away. Set up the new box and remote and same problem, it was infuriating! Another hour on phone and said they will send out a tech in a week. Last ditch effort tried YouTube and found this fix ! Wish I would have t looked for this first, lesson learned. I used this method to program the remote to control my soundbar by entering 992 instead of 991. It worked great. When I used the instructions that came with the remote, the code would allow me to adjust the volume and turn off the soundbar, but not turn on the soundbar. I needed 2 remotes. That sucked! Ok, my old remote just quit working (not the batteries, obviously). comcast gave me this new remote and I came to YouTube for help because I didn’t understand the written set up guide....
