How to Pair Remote from Button on Chromecast w/ Google TV

I show you how to pair (sync, connect) the remote control on the Chromecast with Google TV directly from the button on the Chromecast device itself. Hope this helps.

If the Chromecast detect multiple device, use the button on the Chromecast, press once to go down the list. To the remote then press and hold till it pairs with the new remote. ❤ you don’t have to switch off all other Bluetooth devices to pair the new remote.

Literally nothing came up on your screen when you "paired". It was still searching for accessories. It worked because it was already paired. Doesn't help any of us who actually are having pairing issues

Thanks! I got my Chromecast when it was on sale, but then one of my kids decided to run around with the remote and somehow it ended up in the toilet. Third-party knock offs cost more than the sale price. In any case, I have a buying another unit instead of re-downloading everything and inputting all my passwords. I just paired the new remote to my original unit. These steps helped. Thank you.

I was stuck on this for quite awhile. I had multiple devices pop up. You can use the button on the Chromecast to flick through the list and click and hold on the controller you want to use, when your controller is in pairing mode.

Good video. I didn't realise the button on the Chromecast existed.

However worth mentioning that you should turn off other bluetooth devices: My Chromecast wouldn't pair until I turned off the bluetooth on my phone.

My batteries died so I inserted new ones and my remote light is slowly blinking. I can't pair it. I did that whole process you showed and nothing happened. The light is still blinking slowly. Any other solution?
