Cigarettes and alcohol addiction actually destroyed my life. I could remember several years ago, when i lost my wife I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Got addicted to alcohol and cigarettes. Not until my son recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. A few comments. Number one. Never add oil at the start of sautéing mushrooms. Why, because the mushrooms will release their water. You know the old saying, oil and water don’t mix. You will get a lot of spatter. Let them brown first in a dry pan till the water evaporates. Second. You stated that mushrooms are like sponges and will absorb all the oil. So why would you take mushrooms home and wash them in water? You are just adding more water when you don’t need it.

Never run water over mushrooms what that does is damage them. Get whole mushrooms and get a soft bristle brush and gentle clean the frills to get the dirt and anything else out of them. Then cut out the stalks depending on the mushroom and save them for stocks and broths. Now peel the mushrooms.
