Evangelical pastor here: I often refer to the Orthodox Study Bible notes when I'm preparing for my sermons. Most of the comments and notes are Christ-focused, devotional, insightful and full of good applications. Remember, the editors and authors are summarising hundreds of years of Bible commentary and are drawing from some of the church's greatest theologians. For a comparison, I've also got Catholic Study Bible and its footnotes are dry, scholarly, speculative and never mention Jesus in the OT. They seem more inspired by Protestant liberalism and secular theology than by their church's rich heritage.

Thanks for explaining about it I'll stick with King James Bible with a Strong's concordance bible dictionary in Greek and Hebrew and Smiths Bible dictionary.Those are like Gold and precious pearls to me.
