Basic setup ArduinoUNO + CNC SHIELD + GRBL + 3 X DVD Drive steppers

preview_player
Показать описание

This is to show how to do a basic setup to run three axis stepper motors with Arduino CNC shield with GRBL 0.8C, GRBL controller is used to send gcode/.nc file to arduino
A4988 is stepper drive each for one axis....
This is useful in making of 3D printer, Engraving CNC, Milling CNC etc

Complete tutorial :-

Hardware :-

4) DVD drive stepper axis

Software :-

2) GRBL Controller -

My Gears :-

Innovative, your video is quite helpful to those who are eager to learn about the practical aspects of CNC, using Arduino and GRBL. You can certainly improve the value of your video by taking care to avoid all those spelling errors.
Looking forward to more CNC videos from you.

Hello, thank you for your video, how many volts is the power supply for the DVD drive for this project?

good video, did you set the current with the screw on the drivers? Looks like the motors are getting a bit too much current

This is a great idea, buy you can buy a brand new laser cutter or router mountable cnc 3 axis machine with software loaded for under $300 complete and ready to use! The uno alone is over $400 not to mention the rest of rest of the list of parts that are needed? Sure this is a fun project but not cost-effective?

Hello Mr Innovative
Thank you for this wonderful video
I am using 2 stepper motor and one servo for Z
I am using H Bridge L298
I followed your part
Xloader
Hex file
I imported sample.gcode
used grbl controller
the file was showing on the right hand screen like yours
but my stepper was making voice and not moving
can you tell me what could be the reason?
Thanks

Hey Mr Innovative, I`ve noticed that you didn`t calibrate the maxim current of the CD ROM steppers by means of formula Current Limit = VREF × 2.5 recommended.I see you directly connect the steppers into the boards and switch them on.Excuse for my ignorance but ...why did you skip this step?.THanks

Could you please tell me why you checked the voltage on the CNC shield? Sorry, I am very new to building circuits and using Arduino.
