Показать описание
This is to show how to do a basic setup to run 28BYJ-48 stepper motors with Arduino CNC shield with GRBL 0.8C, GRBL controller is used to send gcode/.nc file to arduino
A4988 is stepper drive each for one axis....
This is useful in making of 3D printer, Engraving CNC, Milling CNC etc

Watch this video to know how to convert 5-Wire motor in 4-wire stepper motor

Hi,
I am a bit late here but he does not mention how to adjust the voltage reference for the A4988 and that is one of the most imortant steps in order you do nhot feed too much current into your motors ...

Could be a very helpful video (except for the music) if you could PLEASE SLOW DOWN so we can learn from you. I can't follow along because you move too fast.

28BYJ-48 5V what is the rated current needed for the driver.

Hello good Morning.
congratulations for the project how can i assemble one step by step.
how to start the engine on arduino uno generico I bought the engines these ai in the video but I can't get them to respond right away they keep turning with crackling crackles if you can help me I would be grateful.

Don't follow these videos when they plug in those drivers. The orientation will blow out your board and your Arduino and your driver/s. I give thumbs down to those who do not explain the orientation of the driver installation.

Looks good but it's very limited. Not everyone will want a mini CNC or plotter. What about trying to get a servo z axis with a Uno and Grbl shield. That would enable us to move up to a larger setup.

Can I use a dc 755 motor as a spindle while using 24by-j48 stepper motors as XYZ axles?

Hi i have problem here. What the power adapter used for?does it use to supply the stepper motor?
if i use power adapter 12v 2A and at the same time i use stepper motor 1.7A(max current), does it will cause damage to my motor due to excess current?and will it affect the motor driver a4988?

So I just did this setup. Same motors and boards. It works. One issue though. I was just jogging the axis in grbl controller and I've noticed that the motors jog randomly in different directions. For example I'll press to jog the z axis in one direction and the motor rotates clockwise. I press again, it turns in the opposite direction. Any idea why?

🙏🙏🙏Thanks, , Long time I'm looking this kind of tutorial. Just Sub.👍

Notice, if running a 24v stepper motor, ensure to have a cooling fan attached nearby.
You will need it.

Also, if you get with the pre-attached heatsinks, remove them, remove excess "pads", and use thermal glue!

I'll see if I have time to upload something to Sketchup, where you can copy a build of a working "base" station for the arduino+CNC shield.

The motors are rated for 5 volts but you are using a 12v supply on the breakout board, how is this possible without frying the motor? Can I use a 7.25v rated motor?

The 5V motor has been retrofitted to be equivalent to 10V.

Therefore, using 12V power supply will not overheat??

Up to how much vtg we can give to the grbl?
Is it necessary to use arduino UNO type for every machine?

How to add servo motor (sg90) to this setup?

This motors are not usable for cnc machine because of huge backlash. Also, a4988 drivers current limiting is not working because sense
resistors are too small(should be 1-2Ohms so it can be adjusted to provide 160mA current needed for choosen motors) and more this drivers can melt themselves because of that if you will power it with higher voltage

Did you also rearrange the wires to blue>yellow>pink>orage, all my Motors have blue>pink>yellow>orange>red arrangement!

Also I noticed When I change the Z driver for the driver that was installed in Y, it sounds. Is there a way that this driver can damaged?

Hi, Thanks for your fruitful tutorial. Actually, my both stepper motors rotate in the only clockwise direction. While I have anti direction too but motor rotates only in 1 direction.

You are using 12V in the CNC shield and the 28BYJ-48 Stepper motor are 5V. Isn't it going to overheat the stepper motors?
