The Queen respected Princess Diana, she stated that many times, respect for her as a wife, mother & royal daughter in law. Ppl always insinuate the Queen didn't care for her, but how wrong they were. Charles was a grown man who truly broke his wife with infidelity, sadly he respected his LOVER more than his wife & the children suffered the consequences.

When realized she had misjudged Diana’s popularity and that the outcry over her death was not going to die down, she knew she had to do something to make herself appear better than she was. It had absolutely NOTHING to do with respect for Diana or even love for William & Harry. It was a calculated move by a cold, heartless old woman who couldn’t stand to lose to anyone.
