What's that? Did you know there is a brake service mode? Did you know that if you work on your brake pads, calipers, brake lines, or brake disc rotors that you need to be in brake service mode? The steps to get in and out of brake service mode on a 2021 Ford F150 Lariat. Works with other models as well..

Maybe I missed it looking through your videos but I didn’t see the actual break and rotor change out process on the 2021. Is it the same as the previous years you have on here ?

This may be a dumb question, but is it ok to turn the ignition off while changing the brakes? So put it in BSM, turn the ignition off, do the work, then turn the ignition back on to take it out of BSM?

Just replaced the front pads and rotors only same model and i got abs light pop up and exclamation red mark. And the breaks isn’t as firm as it used to. I thought you omly needed the BSM for the rear. Any advice?

Do you know if the calipers need to be spun when compressing if changing brakes? I know the previous gen didn't but I don't want to mess it up on accident lol.

Is this just for the rear brakes that just have the electronic parking brake? Doesn’t seem like you would have to do this for the front brakes?

I have a parking brake fault code currently, my right rear isn’t engaging or disengaging and I’m stranded 7 hours from home. Tried this procedure several times and it’s not going into maintenance mode. Next step is to pop off the wheel and try to manually disconnect the brakes so I can get home but I’m worried if I just disconnect them the brakes will stay locked up and I won’t be able to get them unlocked at all
