Never lift the parking brake from the position that you're trying to apply it while you're going through this process hold it down the entire time whether you're resetting it or you're putting it in maintenance mode

thanks- easiest pad change ever :) found I need to grind a old 17mm open end wrench thin to hold the pins though... and the older twist in park brake caliper tool works great for just pushing the pistons back in, without having to push on the park brake housing like you would with a c-clamp...just flip the cap so pins are away from the piston.

Bro i can not thank you enough! This actually fixed both parking brake and my cruise control! Because for some reason i unplugged something and later that night i was driving and my cruise control wouldnt work and then i parked and tried my parking brake and that wasnt working either! I know my ford is under warranty but you know its a waste of time to go to the dealer! Thank you thank you thank you!
