You guys forgot the Doberman, war dogs, loyal, fearless, powerful, intimidating, intelligent and best of all, they "pick " their owners, we don't pick them. My Dobbie is a 32 inches tall, 150 pounds of muscle, courageous and teeth .

I love guardian-protection breeds. Had German Shepherd, Rottweilers & now a Belgian Shepherd (Groenendael)... he's 3 yrs old & he Does have an 'off' switch believe it or not. Also owned 5-6 Border Collies thru out my life. I know they aren't a guardian breed but have amazing minds. You have to stay a step ahead of em, they aren't for novice dog owners. Guardian breeds included....you have to know what you're doing & do lots of research. My Groenendael has really come along...I enjoy working with him ❤

Malinois are handsome . Any dog can take on the role of a watchdog. It is necessary to educate properly. If it relaxes, the watchdog qualities can get out of control . Therefore, if you are a beginner, it is better to work with a dog handler
