I've had two belgians, both came into my life as pups and as rescues. Both Neptune and Hera did not get professional training but I kept their brains busy and overloaded them with love. I'm disabled, they took such good care of me. Both had long lives and I miss them everyday.

I don’t have one but that will the best dog for protection in my opinion not only that but their loyalty is superb and they will give their life to protect you so I will say in my opinion they are the best.

I have one, and yes they are superior for protection. My husband tries to sneak near me for a kiss and no can do. My son trained him, and he even barks at him if he comes near me, but he gets reprimanded quickly. They are very obedient, and I can walk with him off leash and he doesn’t leave my side. He is my weapon of choice.

My son has 3. Unless you live in a war zone or have a personal dog trainer DO NOT get one. They are impossible to train for the average person. This is the kind of dog who can climb a 20 ft wall, go over and bring back a fallen tree. (Pretty close) When my other son brings his two boys over to his brother's place they have to crate the dogs or lock them in the horse trailer.

My avatar photo was dumped off in my neighborhood. I need to thank that person for the easiest dog I’ve ever trained. He’s not a rockstar but for the time/train ratio he’s off the charts smart and well mannered. Very low maintenance, other than the responsibility of owning a “dangerous breed” labeled animal.

Like most Malinois trainers say, 99% of people are not capable of handling a Malinois. Even those who have sent them to a 6 week training camp still can't handle the dog and the training goes to waste bc the owners are incompetent and can't keep up with the training.

Perfect pet for people who have 6-8 hours a day, everyday to exercise it and a minimum of 4 hours a day, every day to train it.
If you can't manage 10-12 hours a day for your dog don't get this breed, neither of will be happy

I absolutely LOVE the Giant Schnauzer isn't everywhere on YT and in the media, my favorite working breed. It means they won't get ruined, like Mals are destined to be. Soon they'll sadly be the next pit. Because media Hollyweird and people.... if you ever get a chance to be around a Working Line Giant Schnauzer, take it, I assure you, they're every bit of a Mal. Except they don't take crap from anyone, including the owner, act a fool and lose your temper and take it out on then? Yeah, big mistake....
